Verdicchio di Matelica 2024

The is a medium bodied wine with a light greenish straw color. Aromas of citrus blossom and white peaches . With flavors of tangerine, lime, white peach and a pleasant hint of mineral & acidity. Very crisp, smooth and enjoyable! — 4 months ago

Mille e Una Notte Nero d'Avola 2020

Vintage 2020 | 12 m barrel aging, nero d’avola, syrah and petit verdot. Cedar, brushwood, sour plum, much character but to my taste a bit rough. I prefer Tancredi. — 6 months ago

Pithos Rosso Vittoria Nero d'Avola Frappato 2020

Popped in poured; no formal notes. The 2020 Pithos Rosso is, to my palate, a lovely Sicilian alternative to Beaujolais. Delicious, refreshingly fruity and just a touch wild. Sufficient structure to provide enjoyment for the near term, but I would just as well drink now. I really enjoy these wines. — 5 months ago

Tenuta Regaleali Lamùri Nero d'Avola 2021

Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of an hour. The 2021 pours a deep garnet color with a near opaque core; medium viscosity with moderate staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of black cherry purple flowers, and rocky earth. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose, the finishes medium. Easy to enjoy with a variety of fare. Drink now through 2031. — 5 months ago
