Penny Black Red Blend 2015

Vintage 2015 | Multi blend from Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot and Chenin Blanc. Lovely effort! I gave the wine 4 hours in decanter and afterwards it had a velvety taste. Good concentration, berries in smell. Paired with Côte de Boeuf from the grill, morels and sweet potato. The only point that I don’t like is high alcohol. With the food the wine gets a nice impression of chocolate and cacao. — 3 years ago

Nez principalement sur les fruits noir, cuir, eucalyptus! En bouche, c’est très bien, les saveurs typique bordelais, fruits noirs, tabac, cuir, cèdre , roches mouillées. Le vin est quand même puissant, les tannins sont présents et le vin a un bel équilibre. Va tenir la route encore

Cherry/raspberry compote, blood orange rind, white pepper, pea tendrils, fennel, roses, haystack, cinnamon. Snapping acidity, light/medium bodied, juicy-satin texture, minimal smooth velvet tannin presence, fruity-peppery-floral finish. Funk forward, earthy but depth in fruit and balanced aromatics. Côteaux du Giennois Gamay Pinot Noir 2019

Pretty uncommon wine, unique find. Medium purple; on the nose, it has strong farm smells initially which do cease after a while and opens up to slight cherry, mushroom and some forest as well. On the pallet there is strong acidity, with light hint of red fruit, and an earthy finish. Cheers. — 3 years ago

This wine is deep ruby with intensely concentrated black fruit (blackberry, plum, cassis) aromas and flavors, along with black pepper, licorice, nutmeg, cedar, clove, wet earth, mushroom, and leather notes. Lovely complement to the Boeuf Bourguignon with strong acidity and tannins, high alcohol, and full body.

Клюква, брусника, красная смородина, лимонный сок, можжевельник, лавр, тонкая лакокраска, солоновато-горчащее послевкусие. Мутный полупрозрачный цвет, яркая кислотность, едва заметные танины. Натурально и нефильтровано, но при этом ягодно чисто, без говняшек и жижи. Просто, но живо и питко. Становится харизматичнее в процессе потребления. — 6 years ago
