Napa wine with the ruggedness of a New Zealand wine. Very nice! — 2 years ago
It's great to see granache featured by itself. — 4 years ago
A medium ruby color. Not overly pungent nose. Jammy. With a chocolate covered prune. A washed in dark cherry. Very nice. — 7 years ago
Similar in style to Beaulieu wine. Slightly more tannic and food friendly. — 8 years ago
This quickly became one of my favorite wineries! Friendly, approachable, small production, delicious food products and delicious wines! This vintage is 96% Merlot, 3% Petit Verdot, and 1% Malbec. I get loads of blueberry, cedar, licorice, flowers (maybe violets), cherry and a hint of peppermint here. Medium body with medium grippy tannins that carry flavors of cherry, licorice and a flint like flavor. Give it time to breathe. Made very much in a old world less fruit forward manner. — 8 years ago
From magnum. Still big and tight...not surprising based on the vintage. Needed a meal, paired well with shortribs. — 9 years ago
Long cool bottle of the classic Gewurztraminer. Color has slightest golden hue. Smells like pears and beeswax. Flavors are clean and crisp. Not much or any residual sugars. More pears in there. Bright acidity. Meyer lemon. This is very good CA Gewurtz. Food wine with zip and zing. Even holds up after 4 years of age. Winner, winner Gewurtz with dinner. — 3 years ago
Blueberry, blackberry. Jammy, smoooooth. — 6 years ago
From a vineyard on Howell Mountain. This is in a good place, but the last glass, 3 hrs after opening, was the best...so no hurry. Beautiful nose at that point. — 7 years ago
First time. A pleasant surprise. Big cherry. Vanilla. Prunes and bursts of blackberry. Rolled off palate. — 8 years ago

I'm surprised at the relatively low ratings for this rosé of Grenache - in a blind tasting I would have pegged this as what it is but from Montsant or even Priorat. This firms up my belief that Wine People are scared to say they love rosé unless it's from Provence or Bandol. But I'm not shy about it.
Distinctly Grenache fruit and acid and limestone, Fresh and vibrant but also has depth in the minerality. Perfect finish, so drinkable.
