Tonight I am trying the 2012 Au Bon Climat Chardonnay. I have been amazed by Winemaker Jim Clendenen's Pinot Noir's so I though I should try his Chardonnay and I am glad I did. On the nose I get citrus notes, apple, peach and a nice butterscotch essences. On the palate again there is the citrus, apricot, apple, stone fruit and a ver nice acidity. There is a smooth creamy mouth feel and a medium + finish. Jim Clendenen ceases to amaze me. I bought this for $18.99 and is worth every penny. — 12 years ago

Light butter note balanced with medium acid, pear, with an ever so slight taste of river stone at the end of a long delicate finish. We had this with cod, freekeh, and a spicy tomato pepper sauce.
