Blend: 33% Cab Sauv, 32% Merlot, 18% Cab Franc & 17% Petit Verdot, aged in oak for 15 months, dark Ruby with aromas of dark berry fruits, floral and spicy earthy notes. On the palate flavors of blackberry, dark cherry and plum, herb spice, cacao and cedar notes. Fine tight tannins, long finish, ending with fruit, spice, cedar and earthy notes. Very nice, needs time, decant if you most open, will age beautifully! — 5 years ago

Very complex. Apricot shines through. Tastes of baked cake. Forward, but not too flowery. — 8 years ago
The Clos Pegase label features Pegasus, painted circa 1890 by the French artist Redon. Pale lemon with aromas of fresh fruit and floral scents. On the palate apple and melon flavors, creamy with pronounced oak and citrus notes. Medium finish, good balance ending with fruit and oak character. Still tasting well. Good value! We just tasted beside a Stags Leap, Pegase won, and it’s $5 cheaper!! Nice!! — 5 years ago
Almost perfect! There’s nothin else to add — 6 years ago
Celebrating snowpocolypse 2019 and 33” of snow today... paired with USDA prime NY Strip. Nose of roasted hazelnut, clove, plum and luxardo cherries. Juicy, slightly thin cranberry and cherry fruit. Soft mouthfeel and touches of leather. Weight speaks to a weaker vintage. Drinking great now. — 7 years ago
Another amazing red from Kiepersol. Nice fruit forward, medium tannins. The flavor lingers for an awesome amount of time. — 7 years ago
Anderson’s Conn Valley Vineyards 2013 Right Bank cab franc 67% and merlot 33%. FANTABULOUS!!!! At 60 dollars it is as high end as it gets for my taste at a budget cost. It is better than any cab franc blend Ive ever had at any price. it has a unique oak and spice to it. No chocolate nor vanilla. Loads of Black licorice and cigar. A wonderful change. Still lots of dark berries on the beginning and very dry on the finish. This will never disappoint. Must decant however for at least 30 min in large decanter. — 8 years ago
Fallbrook CA is in San Diego county, California. Far from Australia! And it is in my back yard, walking distance. We love their red wines. This one is hearty and complex. Good with food or alone. — 8 years ago
Tried twice. Blend of 67% Cab Sauv and 33% Merlot, bigger Cab% in ‘17. Deep Ruby with aromas of dark fruits, oak and spice. On the palate flavors of fresh blackberry, plum and currants with licorice and cigar box spice adding some cedar and slight floral notes. Fine ripe tannins, long finish ending with layers of fruit, cedar and spice. A joy to drink. Opening now but will last another decade+. Nice! — 4 years ago
Delicious and super tart apple ice cider fortified with apple@brandy I think this would be great for guests. Tart enough to make your cheeks squirm. — 5 years ago
Opaque ruby violet with prominent tears. Aromas of cherry liqueur, plum, violets, and tobacco leaf. Still quite structured on the palate although the tannins have softened. Made from 39% Cabernet Franc, 33% Cabernet Sauvignon, 17% Petit Verdot, and 11% Merlot. 14.4% ABV. — 7 years ago
For more than 4 decades, the Chappellet family has been crafting wines from fruit cultivated on the steep, rocky slopes of Napa Valley's Pritchard Hill. Tried another bottle. Aged for 8 months on French oak, (33% new) in its lees. Aromas of ripe stone fruits, citrus and honey with gentle floral scents. On the palate integrated fruit, apple, lemon and peach with balanced acidity and smoky oak. Lingering smooth finish ending with full fruit and oak tones. Very well done. A joy to drink. — 7 years ago
Had another bottle, aged well. A neighbor of Haut-Brion and La Mission Haut-Brion, Les Carmes is positioned on the same bank. The name derives from the friars, known as ";Les Carmes"; who owned the property between the 16th & 18th century. This estate has been under new ownership since 2010. Predominantly Merlot and Cabernet Franc, aged for 18 months in French oak, (33% new). Red fruit and currants on the nose. Raspberry and plum flavors fine tannins and lingering finish ending with mineral tones. Nice! — 8 years ago
