First time drinking a Ludes Riesling. Screaming acidity, peach, hint of tropical fruit, apricot, pear, green apple. — 2 years ago
We had the pleasure of opening the 2021 Hermann J. Wiemer.
On the nose there was nice strawberry, cranberry, raspberry, herbaceous notes and green bell pepper.
On the palate there was good strawberry, raspberry, red plum, green bell pepper, a bit of oak and crushed gravel.
This is a medium bodied wine with light velvety mouthfeel medium to medium + acidity and medium to medium + fine tannins that leaves with a medium to medium + red fruit gravel dust finish. Well it looks as though spring can't make up her mind. This weekend looks to be a bit on the cooler side so lets get out and enjoy ourselves. Please stay safe and healthy. Brilliant. Perfectly tart, lightly fizzy. Paired with Wrestlemania Night 2. — 4 years ago
Slight touch of brett. Added to the wine as the fruit was still present. Was a great one. — 5 years ago

Taste melon, apple, apricots. Very easy to drink — 3 years ago
I tried both the 18 and 19 and liked both, but bought the 18. I was surprised to like the 18 more given the vintage, but I guess that’s why we shouldn’t assume before tasting! — 5 years ago
2016 is big and tart and “tasty” right now. Might could calm down a little with more time. — 5 years ago
Excellent. Fresh, fruity, and very drinkable. Juicy and delicious. Quite dry. Little finish, but who cares. Wish I bought more. — 9 months ago
Cloudy, flowery, funky.
A blend of Scheurebe and 3 Muscat varieties, 4 months skin contact, fermented on the lees.
Exotic nose with lychee, flowers in bloom, a bit of mango & guava, with some nice funk and brilliant freshness.
Great energy on the palate, bone dry and with nice, chalky minerality under the juicy acidity, a touch of tannins, great purity & flow.
This is delicious stuff! A perfect orange wine for beginners. — a year ago
Oddly enough much better the next day. Slight chill. — 2 years ago
Clean red/blue fruit with touch of earth. Not particularly complex. — 5 years ago
Simple, pure fruit. Blood orange, clove and cinnamon on the nose. Smooth on the palate. Very easy to drink with bright red fruit and a well balanced acidity. — 5 years ago

Happy Thanksgiving! Riesling is the tradition…
Petrol and ample sweetness. Medium plus depth. It could use some acidity or zip. Nice as always. — 7 months ago
