A rich deep Ruby red with aromas of dark berry fruit, and rustic spices. The 100% Pinot Noir wine was aged on French oak for 14 months, (35% new) before bottling in December 2015. On the palate, the wine was medium+ in weight and shows sweet cherry, plum and blackberry. The Pinot had velvet tannins encircled by lively acidity and a touch of pepper and gentle oak giving the wine tremendous depth and balance. An elegant wine that with great length on the finish. Back to school special! Waiting for the sliders to finish grilling off the egg and we will be set. Nice strong tannins balanced with that deep cherry. Will go better with the food as it is a beefy merlot... The way Merlot should be.
As expected, the meat balances the strength of this wine. It aged well over 10 years holding the fruit and gaining depth of tannins. — 9 years ago

This was a great Cabernet Sauvignon. It took a while to decant/open up, but worth the wait. Really sweet and tempting scent on the nose - the flavor was great. Blackberries, cherry, spice, a great mix. The back end was just right - a mix of spice, a good amount of tannins- just a well made Cab. Paired with a big thick rib eye - it was a great meal with great people. — 10 years ago
