Always notice this one on the J. Alexanders chalkboard. Amazingly sharp bouquet. Really excellent smoky flavor. Deep ruby color matched by its intensely rich mouthfeel. Really liking this lively Napa Green Certified Cab. — 8 years ago
Definitely a cut above the chalkboard Shiraz. More depth. And definitely better than the wolf Blass yellow. — 9 years ago
A very subtle wine with nice chalkboard flavors which provided an interesting and apple like finish. I like it. — 7 years ago
Quite nice on a Friday evening at home. Could age well but early days for this one — 8 years ago
Has the apricot, unripe stone fruit flavors. Sweet Meyer lemon and orange. Nice citrus notes. Chalkboard. Slate minerals, slopes like the crumbling slate. Bone dry. The acid keeps this thing going for a while. — 9 years ago
Sawdust and old chalkboard on the nose. Light and subtle with the first taste then builds through the middle that is bold, but without the fresh fruit notes from new world wines. The finish has a distinct minerality that accents the age of the wine. — 8 years ago
Unbelievable value. Dark fruit and cherry with spicy, dirty character. Chalkboard. I don't know any better french red for 12 bucks. — 9 years ago

The prince and his magic caves FTW, as usual. 1993 botte 25 Malvasia. Marzipan, marjoram, wet chalkboard, bee pollen, and old parchment. A stunner. — 7 years ago
