Cristal Brut Champagne Chardonnay Pinot Noir Blend 2012

9.3

Light straw colour with notes of bread, lemon, pear, apricot and white flower on the nose. Lively and ample mousse with a bright acidity. On the palate, lemon, tart green apple, unripe pear, white peach with some chalk and wet stone minerality. Long finish with a lemon zing and brioche. Very enjoyable but still very young and will be awesome in another 5 years! — 3 years ago

Billecart-Salmon

Brut Rosé Champagne Blend

This is wonderful - a nose of fresh ripe sweet red strawberry, morphs into some raspberry. Acid builds perfectly into a balance of fruit and acid with the prevailing strawberry note at the center. Finishes also fruity with just a tinge of green fruit but just a hint, and a I mean a hint, of chalk. This balances the finish beautifully. Really world class rose. — 5 years ago

7 Crus Brut Champagne Chardonnay

Delectable Wine
9.0

The NV Brut 7 Crus is a very pretty, entry-level wine in this range. Bright, mineral and intensely vibrant, the 7 Crus is all energy. All the elements are so well proportioned. A blend of 90% Chardonnay and 10% Pinot Noir, this captures all the house signatures with tons of energy and better overall balance than in some previous editions. White flowers, chalk and citrus linger. Dosage is 6 grams per liter. Disgorged: June, 2023. (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, November 2023)

Dark black / red edges. Dark cherry & blackberries with currants. Long legs & pleasing tannins on the finish. Excellent pairing with grilled aged Rib-In Ribeye. Great for 40th wedding anniversary. Looking forward to next bottle on 45 anniversary. — 5 years ago

Board Track Racer The Shift Grenache Syrah 2013

One of my favorite Syrah’s, especially considering how reasonably it’s priced. Beautiful dark magenta color and texture, medium staining with some small sediment. Nose sees tight, dried blue and black berries, funky cured meat, maybe some wet rocks. Palette sees more jammy blue and red berries, medium tannins, medium acid, medium+ alcohol. Nice WA Syrah (with 5% Grenache) made in an old world style. — 7 years ago

n splendid condition, this wine just rips. Nose is citrus and flowers, there’s a thickness to the palate and lots of candied lemon peel with some minerals and chalk, gentle integrated acidity and a classy finish that just echoes. Why we cellar white Burgundy is evident in this glass. — 3 years ago

Consistently delicious and great value in Grand Cru Blanc de Blanc Champagne.

Fresh, reductive, lively on the palate. Green apple, lemon, lime zest, baguette crust, pineapple, white peach, lanolin, cream, perfect chalk & minerality, yellow & white florals, beautiful acidity and rich polished finish that persists.

Photos of; one of their Grand Cru vineyards, two views of their historical museum of champagne/wine artifacts since it’s beginnings and Launois.
