what to say... if u wanna know the difference between an vw gti and porche 911. grab a great batard and drink against a really good chardonnay. — 7 years ago
I like this one! Smooth with a golden color. Almost tastes like honey drizzled on a peach and just thrown on a grill. — 7 years ago
2006 Pierre-Yves Colin-Morey Batard Montrachet. White burgundy course during K charity wine dinner, alongside the '07 Lafon Montrachet. This wine had a little more acidity, pineapple, brioche, and light minerality. Gorgeous wine, but definitely lighter and a touch more acidic than the Lafon. Always great! — 8 years ago
Hitting its stride nearing peak drinking window. Great nose and complexity on the palate with dark fruit, well integrated tannins, and a long finish. Black cherry, blackberry, plum, cranberry, coffee, chocolate, hint of vanilla. $45 at total — 4 years ago
Incredible wine. Huge but not heavy. Dense, brooding, hibernating. Not super showy at this stage but still gives an incredible experience if you give it time and listen. 2013 is a great vintage for Batard as it is more of a lean, acid driven style which balances the big, rich, sometimes heavy (depending on producer and year) character. Great freshness and mineral character. Perfect balance. Well worth the money if you can afford it. Although it was fantastic at age 5, I can only imagine how amazing it’ll be in a decade or two. — 6 years ago
Aromatic, herbal, amazing for price — 7 years ago
Beautiful wine. Slightly oxidized as is typical for Jura. Almond, toast, dried orange peel. Medium acidity but perfectly balanced with the mellowness of being seven years old. Paired perfectly with croûte forestière. — 7 years ago
Showing beautifully. Beat out the leflaive chevalier this night — 5 years ago
Red fruit with bright acidity and earth/mineral notes — 6 years ago
I can't get enough of this wine so I'm posting it again 😍🍷 — 7 years ago
2006 Marcassin Marcassin Vineyard Chardonnay. Wine charity dinner bought by H&C S, hosted at the house. Drank alongside the 2005 Domaine Leflaive Batard-Montrachet. Both were great. This was oakier, more acidic, and bigger. Great! Table was split as to which they preferred. — 7 years ago
Magnum 2007 Domaine Leflaive Batard Montrachet. Pre-bday lunch at Bot. Definitely glad to drink now- not getting any better. Slightly oxidized, but drink well none the same. Don't wait to drink! — 8 years ago

Tasted blind. Yellow gold in the glass, with similar notes as the 96 BBM and Batard next to it. Massive acidity. More floral than the other two. Very rich. This went neck and neck all night with the Batard as the best of the three. At first I liked the Chevy more but the Batard was right there too. 97+ — 2 years ago
