I had a bottle of this wine a while ago and it was spectacular: 94pts. The second, which I drank a few weeks ago, was very good, but not as good as the first one, but still pretty decent: 90 pts. On average 92. A fine claret by the owners of Cheval Blanc. — 9 years ago

I was worried about this but after about an hour it came into its own. More blue cheese, less tobacco than the Pichon Lalande, with nice lingering acidity. — 11 years ago
2009 vintage. Medium ruby - slight copper hue. Strawberry and spice. Some oak here. Quite elegant on the palate but with depth of fruit - post fermentation maceration? Medium plus acidity. Medium minus tannin - soft. This is an approachable, soft and silky wine that gives quite a lot of pleasure. It's not going to blow you away. But it's a delightful wine with fair amount of length. Very youthful. — 11 years ago

We finally managed to have a few bottles of Clos Saint Andre to taste. Very elegant and well done Merlot that shows great fruit and acidity, and has velvety and polished tannins. Decant 60 minutes before drinking or hold for 5 to 6 years. Really good wine, recommended. — 6 years ago
