Very light buttery wine with notes of minerality, hence the type of soil that the Aligoté grape is grown in. This is a first for me so I did some research. I also love the fact that they are aged in stainless steel vats; therefore, no oakiness. Will pair nicely with a chicken pasta dish. — 6 years ago

Wow, what a nose! A hint of flowers, then earthiness, with a sharp tartness. Lovely color and light bodied, as expected for a Pinot. And yes! The fruits explode, filling the mouth with a rich luxury. Tart, but sweet with a cherry punch. Perfectly balanced, and SO easy to drink. This is the best sancerre we've had in a while! Why aren't people banging the doors down for this? — 4 years ago

Delaporte never disappoints. This is a great Sancerre blanc. Lemon, lemon zest, a tiny bit of cat piss and a tiny flinty thing, too. The palate is very well made, showing a great acid drive, some width, some nice lemony touches all along, even some lemon curd notes in the backend. The rear of the palate is pretty wide and makes way to a very long, fruity, soft and fresh finish with lemon and that zing that makes you reach for the bottle for another glass right after the first one.
