Strawberry shortcake. Delicious. — 6 years ago
From magnum. The Flagship Red from Donnafugata. 90% Nero d’Avola; 5% Petit Verdot and 5% Syrah. Lovely wine but very New World and modern with loads of quality French new oak. Blackberry fruit. Could have been s high quality Barossa Shiraz except the Nero d’Avola turns it into s medium bodied not full bodied wine. Would like to see it in 5+ years when the oak may have settled down. — 7 years ago
Spicy, wild strawberry and lots of minerality. Delicious. — 7 years ago
Amazing! Superbly drinkable but barnyardy & complex.
Purchased repeatedly from Bari on 3rd.

Ripe black fruits. Fairly intense and lively. Perfect with bbq burgers or bold charcuterie — 3 years ago
A typical nose of cedar and black currant yet with nice floral hints. Palate has class and elegance like a good Margaux should, the tannins are smooth and silky despite a decent structure and backbone for his medium bodied wine, very nice and fun to drink even at this infancy stage.
Nez floral avec des notes de cassis et de cèdre. La bouche a de la classe et de l’élégance comme tout bon Margaux, des tannins assez tendres et fins, tout en ayant suffisamment de structure, très bien. 89-90 — 4 years ago

Well...looks like I'm keeping this little prosecco treasure in my set. It's a wonderful bubbly with steelhead trout and creamy risoto. 90pts - Global Imports — 7 years ago
A blend of mostly Nero d'Avola adding some Petit Verdot, Syrah and a few other grapes. Deep Ruby with aromas of dark berry fruits, sweet notes and spicy scents. On the palate flavors of blackberry and black cherry, currant like, with notes of cacao, licorice and sweet spice, well balanced with acidity. Fine tannins, long finish, ending with fruit, tobacco and sweet earthy character. Very nice! — 2 years ago
Love this Bordeaux blend. The smell is awesome - lightly sweet - and I love the dryness of the wine on the palate. Still a little bit of fruit though, which I like. Great for our Bastille Day cheese board (except for the salmon eggs - it highlighted their strong salt flavor) and would buy again for a French-themed meal. — 4 years ago
"Wrong end of the horse." Loamy.
Great barnyard flavors, really well balanced. — 5 years ago
Lovely rich rounded flavor. Heavy grainy and berry. A heavier Rhône. Absolutely irrefutable right from the bottle. 2014. Schaefer wine sale bought in 2018. — 6 years ago
Not as deep as Coutet but the flavors were solid. — 6 years ago
Slight oxidization coming through, great acidity, lemon curd, great example of a mixed style. — 7 years ago

Field blend of Riesling, Pinot Gris, Pinot Beurot, Muscat and Pinot Noir from the Engelgarten, a vineyard with poor, gravelly soils located just outside the walls of Bergheim (about 10 miles north of Colmar, in the Haut Rhin). Pure, expressive nose with notes of citrus, rubber and minerals. Intense, dry, textured. Slightly ripe. Long, saline finish. — 2 years ago
