Welcome to Dr Todd's Wine Bar once again. Tonight we are tasting Elizabeth and Clarke Swanson's 2002 Alexis from Oakville Estates in Napa Valley. It is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Syrah. The cork has a 3mm ring that is well defined. The legs are 4 seconds. The boquet is that of ripe plums. the initial palate is blackberry currant. There is no tanic boquet or taste. The finish is minimally dry, spicy and tantelizing tonthe roof of the mouth. The middle edges of the toungue are tingling. This is very very very good wine!!! I will try and contact the wine makers and order a case of this beautiful wine! Really nice for a 20 year old cab! Black cherry and graphite. Tannic with a long finish. Slightly sour for my palate or would have rated higher. Plenty of tread left too! — 9 years ago
