2007 vintage. From Jay. Clusel-Roch Cote Rotie "Les Grandes Places" - Quite the little firecracker. Very sexy and seductive on the nose with the rich scent of blackberries and ripe black cherries wrapped up in an envelope of smoke. Very lush on the palette mirroring the elements picked up on the nose with the presence of cracked black pepper. Fruit forward but with good balance...there is no lack of acidity here and the tannins are precise and well integrated. Very decadent wine but in a sophisticated fashion...St. Moritz in the '60s. Lovely ruby colour. Punches above its weight. Drink now to 2020. 92/100.

Had at Luke's place, full flavour, nice hops finish. Great summer beer — 10 years ago
Excellent. Some depth to this not just a hopped up IIPA. Only 7% alc which compares to many IPA but has the chewiness of its big brother. — 11 years ago
Para mí, una de las mejores cervezas que hay ahora mismo. ¡Salud! — 8 years ago
Our charming and fabulous friends Amanda and @Daniel Moritz took me and @Cara Zimmerman to Sushi Zo, where raw fish is made art. The sublime slices of sashimi were elevated by some terrific wines.
The 1970 Cappellano is largely tertiary in profile in its older years. Dried rose petals, orange peel and autumn leaves meld together in this subtle and elegant wine.
Fact: older Barolo goes with great sushi. — 8 years ago

St Moritz .i really like this wine — 9 years ago
1958 Cantina Mascarello Barolo Riserva: from Jay. Washed out ruby/cranberry juice in color but with both sparkle and intensity. The light color of the wine is quite translucent allowing both candlelight and ambient lighting at the table to give it a lift as it glitters. Very delicate on the nose. There is a little cork taint but as this wine is so beautifully perfumed it is relatively easy to look past this imperfection. Violets, crushed roses, and red forest fruits scintillate the olfactory senses. This is really quite lovely. On the palette the wine is both ethereal and elegant. It has poise and balance and although it is in its latter years it remains a gorgeous expression of Nebbiolo. Fraises sauvages, raspberries, and hints of slightly unripened pomegranate blend together seamlessly. The finish is both long and determined. A very sophisticated and classy wine with a glint in its eye...think St. Moritz in the '60s. Drink now. 95/100.
