Our charming and fabulous friends Amanda and @Daniel Moritz took me and @Cara Zimmerman to Sushi Zo, where raw fish is made art. The sublime slices of sashimi were elevated by some terrific wines.

The 1970 Cappellano is largely tertiary in profile in its older years. Dried rose petals, orange peel and autumn leaves meld together in this subtle and elegant wine.

Fact: older Barolo goes with great sushi.

Pristine & perfect btl with no hint of oxidation. Sour & dried cherry, leather, violets, rose petal, licorice spice , tar and truffle. Great acidity and freshness.
