Über-bubble, if-just hazed, loose ocean foam, goes poof!, then just nebulae. Oily lacing of misfit moustaches. One swirl, though, and instant star nursery. Tangelo-lemon goodness blasts from the glass! Pure tropical mango from the tree. Grapefruit aspirations. Equally bright palate with the focus on a mineral-citrus that finds the perfect palatial trajectory, and sticks the landing on four hops. Namely, Mosaic for the baptismal tesserae, Citra for the gilded apse, Hallertau Blanc for the hallowed ground, and galaxy for the space between. Amen to the combo. Tartaric reverberations through a briny air, really quite evocative. This tastes the way Florida sometimes smells just after a rain. Tropical and saturated, but clean and spring-y. Jasmine, sweet grapefruit pith, lime and lemon. Really a great beer! .

Coffee and resinous chocolate, baked maple syrup, poppy torts, rye bread with dark caramel, baked chocolate with ganache for a sleepover, Thai coffee reduction, treacle, a sweet black pepper and sassafras and dark rum sprouting fresh vanilla bean. Intensely variegated, layered, concentrated. The Dagwood of imperial stouts. Piled 6 feet high, enjoy with a friend, horizontally. .

Puffy clouds float atop alpenglow orange opacity, lacing the barriers with the remains of heraldic coats of arms weathered nearly indistinguishable by time, like the thin anonymous gravestones in ancient churchyards. Orange and tangerine, clementine and thyme, ruby grapefruit, and candied lemon, Froot Loops, green grapes, dragon fruit and kiwi scented. Lovely lime and lemongrass, quince, cardamom pod, chamomile, white pepper dusted pineapple, pomelo, and steely minerality that fractures into micro clove and aniseed while immersed in lemon oils and orange. Really nice offering. Keeps you guessing and offers some interesting taste combos.

Carbon paper, licorice, treacle, Turkish coffee, toffee, and a sapling-meets-whiskey, cinnamon, gingerbread, dried fig, and sarsaparilla scented number. (My wife thinks this tastes of cough syrup, but it is just whiskey centric) big, charred whiskey entry with dark caramel and Christmas pudding, that turns to burnt fructose. Perfect sheet of fog lacing falls like a slo-mo curtain to reveal layer two of mountain snows reflecting moonlight. Nose of bananas foster in all its blazing brandy and it’s caramelized olfactory topography; a malt image in sensory sepia to match the mountainscape. Nutmeg, cola and pecan dessert vies with baklava. Tang-sequel coloration with perfect equilibrium and crown persistence. Wig white, even dissipation reminiscent of fine cigar burn. Striating lacing of cartoon chompers and snowy tangle of wildwood. Pleasant malty and citrus interplay punctuated by oranges and pink grapefruit wild strawberry tart with caramel and sweet tobacco and Turkish coffee from a distance. Paisley lacing ensues. Lemon oils and candied grapefruit peel frame a tangerine occurrence and sparkly mineral stardusting, and a textural approximation of peaches that adds pliancy. After the initial fruit, and subsequent sips your mouth builds up the bitter units to tangible topography that lingers. Overall, a well crafted and thoughtfully restrained offering from an iconic producer. You can sense that they wanted to get this one right. Lacing remnants: gothic text with horror overtones on one side, middle command graphics, and a t-Rex-alligator-puma logo for your new pumped up kicks. .

So very class! Black as space, with a nebula of chestnut. Rides high, but dismounts to palomino stars and bubble islands. Swirl it and it stacks right back up! Witchy runes and dismembered arms clutching axes narrate the lacing. Pecan and hazelnut, charred caramel, bitter chocolate and black bread with burnt caraway and salted licorice! That’s just the nose. Medium mouthfeel drops pure dark chocolate to coat the tongue, blackened brittle, a treacle touch that hardens like toffee over rye. Fine coffee, black, but home from the pub smelling of vanilla, a bitter bout with chit and chicory, but nutty like baked walnut atop a brownie. Delicious stuff! Glad I revisited! Just the balm to soothe a weathered soul in a time of crisis. Cheers!

Cloudy and agitated, this teems with roiling bubbles and sediments pushing a tooth white cap to thick mountainous lava lines of lacing. Grapefruit skin, orange peel, lemon rind and clementine sections greet the memory sensor. Pink grapefruit pith, lemongrass, daisy petals and green strawberries with a whiff of caper. White grapefruit pulp, lemon-lime, mineral salt, oregano, grapefruit pith, lime oil, and iron-chalk tastes create a real depth, while keeping it surprisingly clean and light. Imagine soursop that has been dried and rehydrated by lemon, then canned, dried again, powdered and rehydrated with mineral water. Now add just the perfect malt to balance it. Two clicks above mortal, one short of divine. .

Light caramel malt smells overlay the lemon and pine, thyme and clementine-grapefruit. The extra touch of sweet malt rounds the citrus on the palate, and the grain shines briefly adumbrating the pine return. Pith of lime and grapefruit with a ginger sprinkle sustain the finish for a refreshing aftertaste with a ghost of basil. .

With the look of a certain sample and the smell of hemp flour popping from the off-white head, it looks like you might not get the job! On the plus side, there is a lovely candied grapefruit mixed with hemp flower, tangerine, and lemon zest aroma driving the Hebrew alphabet lacing. The pine tar entry isn’t for everyone, but I for one, appreciate flavors that resinate (sic). Pine cones and petrol, hemp seeds and lemongrass, almond extract and bay leaf. Lemon peel and grapefruit zest pull us back to fruits but a pecan bitterness and tea tree oil, make it arboreal. Maduro brown with mahogany polish; solid cap of varying creams. Low-helium balloon, slow drop lacing bejeweled like lively paramecia. There is a sweet cola entry which builds malt and date and brown sugar scope, adding vanilla bean and cocoa. Chewed leather, candied ginger, waterlogged ginseng, almond, pecan, chestnut and bourbon notes. Lighter-than-anticipated mouthfeel expresses tea versus cola implied, but leaves you ruminating on it’s perfection, which is somehow like dark toasted phyllo brushed with maple living like a wafer inside of a bonbon biosphere. Several roots are prominent; sassafras, ginger, man back, and glazed, roasted carrots. There is an overshadowing of coffee, though thin, and carob. The malt prevails, to plant the Belgian flag. Tastes of gritty, rustic elements, but flows like fine silks. Bravo! .

All the essentials. Hope these monks blessed the devil out of this! Gorgeous auburn brown that looks as rich as fresh tilled, valley loam. This head don’t quit! Cappuccino foam with variations. Sheeted micro-weave of bubbles in the lacing that part like thick lips, as if to say, ‘ahhh.’ A touch of baked marshmallow-on-yam. Coffee rye, barley grist, malt and grilled meat interplay, twice baked potatoes with bacon, sour cream and chives. Caramel drizzle. Dark honey glazed sourdough toast. Blood orange squeezed onto fondue, baked, mushroom stuffed persimmon. Heady, rustic, decadent nose invites us to a feast. Intense finesse! So multi-layered they had to fold it into the bottle! There is a cognac barrel aspect that has a cedar and oregano intertwined in an aged balsamic depth. Bark-y and chicory but also resembling petite verdot in its unctuous and integral core. Light haze to bright gold with a tinge of tangerine. Atmospheric and fast head forms and deconstructs in a swirl to cobwebs. Mantis lacing. Yeasty-brussel sprout-y, yam-earthy, baked orange, caramelized leek, and dried grapefruit savoriness to the rustic aromatics. Supple citrus blobs of soft orange and grilled lemon and grapefruit bob in a nutritional-yeasty soup of acorn squash and malty carrot, a nano pepper, and even less cedar or cinnamon bark. We would be splitting hairs to go further, but there are gingery spices and ginseng suggestions, ghosts of allspice and serpent breath. Pranq it up!
