Opaque ruby violet with prominent tears. Aromas of cherry liqueur, plum, violets, and tobacco leaf. Still quite structured on the palate although the tannins have softened. Made from 39% Cabernet Franc, 33% Cabernet Sauvignon, 17% Petit Verdot, and 11% Merlot. 14.4% ABV. — 6 years ago
Another amazing red from Kiepersol. Nice fruit forward, medium tannins. The flavor lingers for an awesome amount of time. — 7 years ago
Anderson’s Conn Valley Vineyards 2013 Right Bank cab franc 67% and merlot 33%. FANTABULOUS!!!! At 60 dollars it is as high end as it gets for my taste at a budget cost. It is better than any cab franc blend Ive ever had at any price. it has a unique oak and spice to it. No chocolate nor vanilla. Loads of Black licorice and cigar. A wonderful change. Still lots of dark berries on the beginning and very dry on the finish. This will never disappoint. Must decant however for at least 30 min in large decanter. — 7 years ago
Welcome to Friday and I have picked up a Right Bank Bordeaux Blend from the state Washington the 2013 DeLille Cellar D2. 57% Merlot, 33% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Cabernet Franc and 2% Petit Verdot.
Upon opening, there is beautifully expressive dark fruit wafting over the rim of the glass with a lasting impression of blackberries, black currant, black cherry, plum, sweet ripe strawberry, cassis, cherry licorice, and sweet tobacco.
With the first taste on the palate there is lovely blackberry, black cherry, kirsch, strawberry, black currant, green bell pepper, and bit of leather, and a smokey note.
This wine is well balanced with medium + acidity and a smooth mouth feel with fine sandy tannins.
For a second lable wine this is a hell of a deal. For a young wine this is drinking well right now. I would recommend this wine all day long.
Have a great weekend. Nostrovia! 🍷🍷🍷🍷 — 9 years ago
Blend: 33% Cab Sauv, 32% Merlot, 18% Cab Franc & 17% Petit Verdot, aged in oak for 15 months, dark Ruby with aromas of dark berry fruits, floral and spicy earthy notes. On the palate flavors of blackberry, dark cherry and plum, herb spice, cacao and cedar notes. Fine tight tannins, long finish, ending with fruit, spice, cedar and earthy notes. Very nice, needs time, decant if you most open, will age beautifully! — 4 years ago
Back into Sancerre Rouge up their with the best Burgundy at half the price Wine 64 €33 delicate, classic PN is it as good as Whelan's at €19 ? Not sure... — 5 years ago
67% Zinfandel - 33% Petite Sirah. 100 cases produced. 15.9% alcohol. Great drinking wine, crowd pleaser. Didn’t taste like it was that high of alcohol percentage. Dark berry, cassis, with a very “thick” mouthfeel. If you like the old Prisoner or Venge’s Scout’s Honor then you will love this wine. I would either aerate it or decanter it for at least 30 minutes. Lots of life yet. Great QPR, especially coming from a small higher end Napa producer. — 6 years ago

Had another bottle, aged well. A neighbor of Haut-Brion and La Mission Haut-Brion, Les Carmes is positioned on the same bank. The name derives from the friars, known as ";Les Carmes"; who owned the property between the 16th & 18th century. This estate has been under new ownership since 2010. Predominantly Merlot and Cabernet Franc, aged for 18 months in French oak, (33% new). Red fruit and currants on the nose. Raspberry and plum flavors fine tannins and lingering finish ending with mineral tones. Nice! — 7 years ago
Dec 14, 2016. Top Ten "Bubbles" tasting. Whoa! 34% Chardonnay,33% Pinot Noir, 33% Pinot Meunière. Yummy — 8 years ago
Delicious and super tart apple ice cider fortified with apple@brandy I think this would be great for guests. Tart enough to make your cheeks squirm. — 5 years ago
Had the ‘16 about a year ago, tried again. For more than 4 decades, the Chappellet family has been crafting wines from fruit cultivated on steep, rocky slopes of Napa’s Pritchard Hill. Aged 8 months on French oak, (33% new) in its lees. Aromas of ripe stone fruits, citrus, honey & oaky scents. On the palate layers of fruit, apple, lemon & peach with balanced acidity & gentle toasty oak. Long smooth finish ending with fruit and oak tones, a bit creamy. Very well done. A joy to drink. Still tasting great! — 5 years ago
Pretty good. First taste is a little strong but it gets better as you go — 6 years ago

Fallbrook CA is in San Diego county, California. Far from Australia! And it is in my back yard, walking distance. We love their red wines. This one is hearty and complex. Good with food or alone. — 8 years ago
Very deep garnet. Pronounced aromas of confiture fruits and spices. Medium-full body. Elegant, delicate wine. Grape varieties: CabS 43%, Merlot 33%, CabF 19%, Petit Verdo 5%. Old vines (50 years). 18 ha in biodynamics. Concrete, wood and steel tanks. Aging 15-17 mo in oak barrels (45% new). Racking every 5 mo w/ candle and egg white fining. Château du Tertre is 5th growth Grand Cru. It is worth checking its 2nd label Les Hauts du Tertre where the only difference is younger vines (20-25 years). Rating 4,1/5 — 8 years ago
Sipping Fine Wine
Tried twice. Blend of 67% Cab Sauv and 33% Merlot, bigger Cab% in ‘17. Deep Ruby with aromas of dark fruits, oak and spice. On the palate flavors of fresh blackberry, plum and currants with licorice and cigar box spice adding some cedar and slight floral notes. Fine ripe tannins, long finish ending with layers of fruit, cedar and spice. A joy to drink. Opening now but will last another decade+. Nice! — 3 years ago
