Awesome aged riesling — 9 years ago
Vintage 2015 / there is an army of interesting 'petit vins' in France, that makes you happy when you taste them. This sauvignon blanc offers nice citrus smell, impeccable balance with lively acidity. Much better than mediocre Sancerre! We drank it with melon/ham and broadbeans/halibut. It's a terrific impuls for a good mood. — 10 years ago

Really smooth white wine. — 14 years ago
Deep red brick color from long cellaring. Rich full bodied with viscous oily legs. Notes of wet clay, forest floor, mint and sage in the bouquet. Now ripened raspberries, now sweet tomato slow roasted under the oven light, now strawberry cream, now spiced baked cherries, with hints of cinnamon, flinty cave stone, and salt water in the palate. Soft but rich mouthfeel with balanced tannins that are nicely polished but keep a good grip. Green tea, hints of mild tomato, pie spices (cloves, nutmeg, cinnamon) lingering on the finish. Notes of smoked bacon fat, fried egg, herbs, and spices keep lingering for many minutes. Please do not pair with anything ;) — 7 years ago

Wine estate : Romain Papilloud
Designation : Vétroz (AOC Valais)
Name : Amigne Grand Cru de Vétroz
Country : Switzerland
Vivino : 4/5
Note : Romain Papilloud, self-made-man, became a winemaker in 1979 and owner in 1987. The majority of his vineyard is located in Vétroz (Valais, Switzerland). We will observe on the top of the bottle 1 to 3 bees which represents the sugar content (A bee means 0 to 8 grams).
With a yellow robe, the nose of this amine is rich with flavors of citrus (tangerine) and honey. On the palate, a beautiful structure with apricot flavors and a delicacy in the end.

Avec une robe jaune, le nez de cette amigne est riche avec des saveurs d’agrumes (mandarine) et de miel. En bouche, une belle structure avec des saveurs d’abricot et une gourmandise en final.

Very good. Pronounced nose of mango, lychee and a little ginger. Medium sweetness balanced well with acidity. Fleshy peach, slight spice and honey on the palate with a long finish. — 9 years ago
