The bright and golden color of the wine offers a rich blast of ripe stone fruits. Elegant notes of quince are enhanced by honeysuckle. The ripeness of the abricot and the greedy of the honey are emphasized by fresh hints of litchi. Dense and intense, the palate offers a perfect balance and lays in the mouth for our greatest joy. — 8 years ago
Earthy, terroir nose. Opened nicely. Palette- enjoyable , long finish, medium tannins . After one hour, improved, earthiness is a nice change from Napa cabs. — 4 years ago
Love this wine. Lots of cassis and even notes of chocolate. Smooth, easy to drink. — 6 years ago

I was so close to opening some 2016 Beast today, but went old schoolSan antonio bobs steak and chophouse. Darioush was better at that pricepoint. Nuttier and spicier than darioush. — 7 years ago

Winery Notes:
"The 1990 Vintage is a blend of 17 different Crus, all classified as Grands and Premiers Crus.

The blend is completed with 33% Chardonnay from the Côte des Blancs and, to a lesser extent, from the Montagne de Reims." — 5 years ago
Wanted to drink this after listening to Dominique’s IDTT interview. Found the best nationally priced bottle in Pasadena and it showed really nicely, particularly after being open for something like 4 hours. I like his winemaking approach here, which doesn’t seem to be about elevating it beyond its provenance. It’s a delicious, mineral wine that would crush with shellfish and was lovely in the afternoon along with The Trip to Spain. — 8 years ago
