Medium ruby with quite narrow terracotta , garnet rim. Cut herbs , raspberry, dried red cherry , dried rose , slightly smoky note and a basalt , stony hint. On the palate quite rounded and ripe with some red focused sweet sous bois , raspberry coulis and dried herbs , anis , dried herbs . Alcohol does stick out a bit with medium quite rounded sweet tannin , with just balanced acidity . Reasonable anis , black tea and dried herb finish . This is at the end of its drinking window but still showing quite well . Drink now , and I would recommend serving at a relatively cool temperature — 10 months ago
Well balanced. Refreshing, asian pear, lime , banana. — 3 years ago
The color is a pale orange red, kind of coppery. Beautiful. smells like tart fruit - blood orange and strawberry - but also detecting earthiness, maybe rocks, salt. Texture is light but poppy. Tastes like bright fruit, acid, ash and salt. This is special. The hype is real. — 7 years ago

What a winner! Fresh and lonely and such a clean mineral finish! Paired it with a beer, carrot and pomegranate salad, and also with shrimp and grits. Worked great with both. — 8 months ago
Spicy and earthy. Great fruit and balance. Really coming together. — a year ago
Made from 50 to 100 year old vines and matured for 18 months in small and large oak vessels, of which 20% are new. Medium-ruby, the 2020 Terre Nerre Calderara Sottana is introduced by a hauntingly fragrant scent of red and black cherries, wild blackberries, Mediterranean herbs and crushed granite rock. The medium to full-bodied palate is marked by a firm tannic structure, nervy tension and wonderful fruit complexity, closing with an elegant, persistent finish. Drink now until 2040. — 2 years ago

Cranberries and cherries on the nose. Savory, elegant and mid weight. Delicious. Nerello Mascalese 85% and Nerello Cappuccino 15% field blend 100 years old. Planted at 1640 feet on the volcanic soils of Mount Etna. — 2 years ago
White cherry on the nose, apricot skin, grapefruit pith, lots of minerality and savory notes on the palette, acidic and tannic but we'll balanced - lots of character — 3 years ago

Light body and very "Pinot Noir" like. Bright red cherry and strawberry flavors. Mild tannins and light oak. Hint of smoke. Refreshing. Chill it a bit below cellar temp. Great story about the winery. A Mt. Etna lava flow just went around them 30 years ago. — 9 years ago
In great shape; exciting acid& drunken cherries. Neat — 10 years ago
