Another Sette Ponti (Antonio Moretti) product. The winery is not too far from our hotel so it's logical that they have so many SP wines on the list. This one is super-tuscan all the way. Dark, plush, dense, rich jammy fruit, with chocolate and herbs/spices. Drinking well now but with many years left I think. Half Merlot, quarter CabSauv, quarter CabFranc. — 9 years ago

Last stop on the Sette Ponti Express. This is a new wine for Moretti and I don't expect much will reach the States (only 300 cases made). 100% Sangio, produced in Chianti-neighboring Valdarno. Purity and elegance, high-toned red berries, Italian leather, dried meadow flowers. Perfect combo to a local Florentine steak. — 9 years ago
Gotta love Italian wine. Found myself sticking my nose deep into the glass to be delighted by complex and earthy aromas of dusty earth and eucalyptus and a solid core of black cherry. The anti Orwin Swift....two thumbs up! — 9 years ago
Ottima birra, rifermentata in bottiglia. Leggero gusto metallico finale come le Weiss. Ottimo corpo, buon aroma. — 11 years ago
