Vintage 2011 / brown rim, cardinal red colour, very classic smell with vannila, stable, laurel, cassis, true to type #bordeaux Lovely taste (after a few hours in decanter) this wine rises above its modest AOC #blayecôtesdebordeaux tasted blind it can easily be mistaken for higher placed wines. Bravo! / paired with a steak and shitake — 7 years ago

Drank 12/2/17 with grilled lamb. Nice pairing. Decanted 30 min.
Nice bouquet of currants, a touch of wood, and initially some petrol, which blows off after a few minutes. Black and red currants on the palate mingle with graphite and moderate tannin. Medium to full body with a long finish.

Vintage 2010 - After 7 y a cardinal red colour, laurel, cherries, eucalyptus and leather, smoooooooth taste from 75% merlot 25% cabernet franc. I love this wine, a Point for winelovers that like fruity wines, way too young for the ones who like their wine mature (like me). Rather rustic. #côtesdecastillon #merlot #loveit — 9 years ago
