Gravel Lens Hop Camp Vineyard Syrah 2008

Wow! This was very much in the style of a northern Rhone, with herby aromas and flavors of bacon fat and minerals. It evolved nicely throughout the evening. What a balance between fruit and herbs! This went amazingly well with rosemary garlic rib eye. — 9 years ago

Jack & Jamie's Reserve North Coast Pinot Noir 2013

14.2% alc.
Being served after Bordeaux and Napa Cabs didn't do it any favor this evening however by itself this is a beautiful Pinot.

Jack London Vineyard Sonoma Valley Zinfandel 1995

1995 vintage Zinfandel. Firm upper cork gave way a bit on the inside lower half inch but removed it all with a little care. That cork was Tight for twenty years. Must have been bold when young. It was pale light red, almost heavily faded but smelled sweet. Not as sweet to the taste but a mellow and a hint of cranberry after airing out. Dry. — 10 years ago

A little tight at first. Seemed like it was falling apart on day two. But on day four it's fantastic — 10 years ago

Renwood Winery 2013 Jack Rabbit Flat Zinfandel

Strong aromatics of black currant and anise are woven together with crushed raspberry, sweet cream, and hints of cedar. On the palate, the layered complexity of this wine is complimented by its excellent weight and balance, making it a signature Jack Rabbit Flat Zinfandel. Fresh and teeming with black cherry and hazelnut, this Zinfandel will evolve beautifully in the bottle for years to come.

100% Zinfandel.

Estate Pinot Noir 2011

Drinking beautifully, this is their regular pinot that outpaces a number of "reserve" offerings from other wineries. Was a bit fruit-forward a couple of years ago, but has really integrated over the past two years. — 9 years ago
