Superb! Very nice balance of floral and spicy. Lychee type fruit and tastes like it should be sweet but no sweetness, which is hard to describe until you've had it. Had with spicy Thai fishcakes and held up wonderfully. Well worth a try! — 8 years ago
Enjoying this wine on Eataly's popup rooftop patio in Manhattan. Earthy, floral and incredibly smooth. Calabria huh? — 8 years ago
My first experience with Gaglioppo grapes. Awesome fruit. Mild taste. Prunes & plumes. Hints of tobacco. Off red in color; almost a brown. Well balanced. Long beautiful finish. Can't wait to explore more Calabrian wines! — 8 years ago
Mild and extremely pleasant to drink, yet despite being delicate it does not lack character or bold taste. This wine has a beautiful almost brown colorful it which is typical of the red grapes grown in Calabria. Truly a wonderful wine to try and enjoy with friends! — 9 years ago
Really nice, hints of a Malbec? — 10 years ago
New Calabrian producer! Very Nebbiolo like. Great dusty tannin on finish. Impressive for Southern Italy. — 10 years ago
Earthy, cherry. Light style but some tannins predict a few yrs ageable. — 8 years ago
First dry red wine from Calabria. 70% Gaglioppo (Greek origin) 30% Greco Nero. Intriguing savoury nose, some herbal elements leading to a less full bodied wine than expected and of course excellent with pasta and wild boar. Love these hot climate Southern Italian wines like this and also Primitivo from Puglia. 2010 vintage. — 8 years ago
Long finish, nice fruit. Solid — 9 years ago
