Birthday purchase. Really enjoyed it! Tart but balanced. I’d seek this wine out again! — 4 years ago
Bouchard’s Blanc de Noirs Val Vilaine is especially strong in 2017 and also a fabulous introduction to this range of magnificent Champagnes. Beautifully resonant and inviting, the 2017 is so gorgeous. Pear, baked apple, dried flowers, mint and spice all build as the 2017 opens up in the glass. More than anything else, the 2017 impresses with its poise and raciness. The slightly reductive character found in some previous releases is not present in the 2017, and that really lets the purity of the fruit shine through. Bouchard does not push this site to the degree he does most of his other vineyards, so the Val Vilaine doesn’t quite offer the complexity of the top wines here, but words really can’t do justice to just how delicious the 2017 is. Don’t miss it. No dosage. Disgorged: April, 2019. (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, December 2019)

Adegas Gran Vinum Mar de Viñas Albariño Rias Baixas/Val do Salnes 2018
A glass w work lunch of homegrown tomatoe/avocado and tinned sardines.
Medium yellow color. Aromas of drupe fruits (peach/apricot). Mouth is more about peach pit with a hint of bitterness and a savory, salty element. Went better w the tomatoes than the sardines (umami harmony?)

My favorite of Val do homem although I have consumed cases of the Vino verde — 6 years ago
This yellow-gold wine has aromas that are more herbal than floral, with savory dill bolstering the citrus and stone fruit. The palate carries much citrus along with savory balsamic notes. Acidity is great, and makes for a lively pairing with a variety of salads and seafood. — 6 years ago
How do you rate an exceptionally fun wine that consists of Pinot Noir/Cab Franc/Négrette/Gamay Noir? Easy! Start at nine points and work up. (A slight chill is highly recommended and it will match perfectly with whatever you're pulling from the grill. God bless the French.) — 7 years ago
Far better than Aldi and it's price label - an enjoyable and easy to drink white. Not exceptional but great value. — 8 years ago

It’s incredible, this wine doesn’t look like it’s aged a day since I first tried it 9 years ago at the winery. A deep purple color in the glass that barely fades at the rim. The nose is soft and pure brunello, dusty earthy notes of sour cherry, anise sand a touch of dried porcini. The palate shows wonderful structure and acidity for 15 years of age. Rich fruit notes with notes of dark earth lead to dusty, drying tannins. The finish seems everlasting with acidity dancing on the tongue along with a hint of spice. I really do wonder how far this would have gone. Wonderful wine! — 3 years ago
