Dominated by a dark "inkiness" that seems like one flavor made up of many--blackberry, raspberry, scorched tar, soy sauce--and still plenty of tannins for texture. Looking for the classic "Pauillac-ian" graphite helps me find it--it's not nearly as present as I'd think--but this probably speaks more to how integrated this wine is because it still quite fresh and bright. — 10 years ago

Immediately in my top 5 beers. Concentration without weight or offensive intensity. So many tropical fruits, cannabis, and sage aromas bursting out of the glass! In the mouth it reminds me of all the great aspects of a Sierra Nevada pale ale turnt up. A new benchmark in balanced beer. Biased because I adore Sonoma wines. Decanted for one hour+.This one seems to be in the French style. Dark cherries on the nose. Restrained dark fruits with very complex undertones.
