Deliciously sweet with delightful bubbles! We really enjoyed this as a dessert or with a semi sweet chocolate square. — 8 years ago
Refreshing with a kiss of oak — 9 years ago
2013. Fruity. Has dry finish. Drier as it opens up. John Frame might like this but not a company wine. Wine 3 of 3 from my first wine club shipment. Marin nicknames this "Naughty". Yikes, this is one of three bottles that are 2013 Cabernet Sauvignons but with different nicknames and labels! (1) "French Kiss", red and black label; (2) "Intimate", gold and black label; (3) "Naughty", red and gray label. Maybe his website explains the difference. — 10 years ago
1000 ways to kiss the earth, sandlands trousseau is a delicious way to do so, heartfelt thanks @Tegan Passalacqua — 10 years ago

Reminiscent of Beaujolais' Gamay, this southern part of Tuscany's Ampeleia is producing some fine red wine! Mine tonight, after 30 minutes swim and spin in the decanter's pool of naked open space and air shows first to the nose wet rocks, slate and sandstone freshly accenting menthol and anise then strictly earthen dirt and minerals and a hint of the berries. First kiss is lightly but intriguingly nasty, wet and dripping red fruit which immediately coats and clings but most interestingly reaches back for the wet rocks overlooking the Med, then re-engages just in time to leave hints of her red and blue berry essence complimenting the blackened octopus in a mash of white beans and spices laced with a hint of Tabasco offered up by Chapel Hill's Il Palio located off Franklin Street (checkout both) Ciao🕶 — 10 years ago
Naked - pretty fine for a blend — 6 years ago
Maybe a bit past prime, but still nice. — 8 years ago
Very impressed Garuda Indonesia has this as their business class champagne. Fine, delicious bubbles and a kiss of strawberry to pair with the crisp toastiness. — 9 years ago
Took typically dry varieties and made them sweet. Good, not as sweet as the white blend. Sweet wine drinkers will really enjoy it. — 10 years ago
Pretty awesome value-driven, juicy Frappato here! Pours a moderate ruby-garnet, with ripe strawberry and cherry fruit, rhubarb, plum skin, fresh red floral character, some slight anise-y spice notes, and that clay pot earthiness that seems so common in Italian reds (to my palate, at least) comprise the nose, which follows onto the palate but is underpinned by a slight smoky, gamey character that's surprising but also quite pleasant. It kinda reminds me of the type of smokiness exhibit by peated Scotch but much less intense and playing a subtle supporting role rather than taking center stage. Viscosity and body are medium (-), acid is medium, with the slightest kiss of fine-grained tannin. In general kinda makes me think "Italian Beaujolais." Good juice. — 10 years ago
Светло-соломенное с зеленью. Очень свежее. Кислотность не чувствуется. Достаточно плотное, тельное, средняя маслянистость. Цитрусовые, цветы. Послевкусие пряное. Очень-очень круто! На каждый день, бюджетно. — 10 years ago
Always fun to try them when they’re fresh. The 2017 Zinfandel is bursting with capricious blue, black and red fruits with baking spices and a kiss of vanilla. In fact, this smells a bit like a fresh sleeve of blueberry fig newtons. Try it and tell me I’m wrong. As usual, these will be more interesting after a few years in the cellar. — 7 years ago
Beautifully ripe golden apple, asian pear, kiss of quince. Zippy ripe citrus, orchard blossoms, crushed rocks and salt. A lot of presence on the finish and back palate. The wine has lift coupled with leesy weight — 9 years ago
Now my go to wine of choice. Absolutely love it! — 9 years ago
Beautiful. Dark but light, fruit forward but restrained. A long light cherry kiss. — 10 years ago
Nice to have balanced Napa Cab Franc that isn't heavy handed. Expresses the wonderful amount of sunshine we get in CA while maintaining great acid. A kiss of oak to add depth and aroma but not dominating. Lovely dark mineral and graphite notes backdrop dense fruit, violets, and spice. — 10 years ago
I was actually really surprised by this wine, as I am typically not a Shiraz fan. — 11 years ago
