A guest brought in this 1982 and allowed me to try it. First I noticed the color, a burnt yellow that reminded me of a chardonnay with age. The bubbles were quick to dissapate and hang out along the top rim of the glass. The nose was bready, brioche fully baked and the palate was heavier than I expected, reminiscent of port without the overt sweetness. Baked yellow apples and some stone fruit notes. The finish stayed for a long time after it was over. This was sublime. — 11 years ago

I wish all things that smelled like butter pecan ice cream tasted like summer lemonade, burnt caramel and miles of mushrooms. I'll have to do with this. — 11 years ago
Espuma del Gaucho. Cabernet Sauvignon 2010. Rich in flavors of cassis and black fruit. Notes of subtle oak carry this wine of pride and passion. — 12 years ago
Burnt matchsticks, firewood, soy sauce and bamboo shoots, dark rich fruit. Showing fruit way ahead of tannins that have completely settled. Brilliant wine. Off-vintage. Don't care. Top quality producer wins every time — 13 years ago
