Yummy classically styled Riesling from Finger Lakes, purchased at the winery yearsss ago. On the nose peaches, petrol and lemons. In the mouth, decent acid, slightly too high sweetness for the acid balance, lemon curd and minerals. Medium finish. Very well made and spot on for an aged classic Pfalz Spätlese. Update Day 2 - bump to 90, better integrated sugar/acid and stronger petrol. — 5 years ago
Very typical aged Brunello. Dark cherries. Well integrated tannins and still has some good acidity for great balance. Seriously good. Buy again!!! Bump up the score again. So realiably good and reasonably priced. — 6 years ago
Tasted Bump tasting room with Krista in Sonoma. — 8 years ago
Circling back on this bottle and I think I’ll bump the score up a notch from my initial rating of 89/100. I still think this lacks structure and a sense of purpose, but the notes are still appealing nonetheless: caramel green apple, dark chocolate with orange zest, and stewed Luxardo cherries, along with some cedar shavings. — 4 years ago
This was flat out delicious: squid ink, opaque dense looking and tasting w/gobs of black fruit: blackberry, cherry & plum. baked quality to the fruit. Hints of Earth and a minerally Iodine but by & large fruit focused. Infinitely smooth & caressing - went down (dangerously) easy as we had to do a double take at the empty decanter! .2 bump for QPR! — 5 years ago
Great Chablis. Crisp with an apricot bump. — 6 years ago
CV tasting Bordeaux 11/29/16. Nose of Forest leaves that's mature and hints of dark flowers notes. Palate still had tannins and long finish. Opened 7/26/17. Drinking well. Dark berries under the forest notes and good balance on palate with a note of wildness. Would give it a bump up to 8.9 from 8.8 — 8 years ago
At FLX, they serve it with a bump of caviar — 5 years ago
High acidity, yeast and toasted bread with good minerality. Very nice. 8.9 on day 1, bump to 9.0 on day 2, gained depth and breadth. — 5 years ago
It’s weird! Fruity and light like a Pinot noir but floral and herby like caraway and the lightest fennel. 8.7 on the tastiness but gets a bump for being interesting. — 6 years ago
That was bump set spike point. So damn perfect. Elegant, soft, integrated. Not an off-putting moment. Had it in a decanter for 90 minutes before we touched it. Served with smoked turkey Kisswhich heaven. — 7 years ago
Remember the last time you had a bad port?
No. No, you don't. Because bad port is not a thing.
Deep dark plummy fruit, that good not-quite-cloying-sweetness, Sweet Mother... I'm very excited to drink it again over the next several days as it has a chance to open. I hope I need to revisit and bump the rating. — 8 years ago
bump for the pairing. Smoked pork neck and peppery roasted cauliflower is spot on with this — 9 years ago

@Lyle Fass thank you for this wine! Big, authentic intoxicating Medoc nose immediately upon opening w/Bing cherry, cassis, boysenberry and raspberry beautifully integrated with savory, bay leaf, mossy tree bark, mushroom, sweet damp Earth and vein of minerality. Seductive inky & opaque, mid to heavyweight, fluid luxurious mid palate with solid tannic structure clenching tightly on finish. Strutted w/roasted leg of lamb. Long life ahead - bump for QPR — 4 years ago
