Grand' Arte Lisboa Shiraz 2014

Really terrific surprise. Portuguese Shiraz? Beautiful aromas of dark red cherry and plums with a hint of eucalyptus. Red fruit flavors with hints of blackberry. Ruby red color and medium finish. Great! Revisited in May 2022. Same notes apply. Nice balance. Revisited again in March 2023. Still quite good. — 5 years ago

Casta Ramisco 1997

Don’t know if I settled down the third time around or the wine did, but a more focused experience this time. Who knows, maybe three times a charm. An ethereal light to medium body, all balsamic, mushroom notes & wild black currants. — 6 years ago

Bons Ventos Vinho Regional Lisboa Red Blend 2014

Absolutely incredible value for money. VERY fruit forward, with “Touriga Nacional” in the front of the queue, if you don’t like port or fruity wines, stay away from this one, but for an amazingly drinkable daily “Table Wine” at around AU$ 10.00 a bottle? This is a winner on every level.

Nice! Viva the small but merry band of Colares hipsters! Add the vintage, dude (methinks it is either 2006 or ‘09). Last time drunk was with you@Owen Mazon

One of the rare, growingly extinct wine regions in the world-a coastal area near Lisbon, 50 acres left- that’s it. Ramisco is a red varietal, High acid, low alcohol- only older vintages released. Reserva Vinho Regional Lisboa Red Blend

Absolutely awesome on the nose - you’ll enjoy swirling this to capture the aroma time and again. Mature, ripe red fruit and a naturally jammy mouth feel sets up a very nice glass. Slightly tart finish - pair with a nice cheese and enjoy! — 7 years ago
