Out of the loop, crazy, once-in-a-lifetime village wine. Bought a case for £140 at auction, not knowing Broadbent rated it ***** "Knock-out drops". A healthy golden hue - dense, with little water at the rim; lots of dandelions, salty bread dough (without yeast), hints of sweet pears and apples; incredibly buttery and incredibly long (50+ seconds). A faint hint of volatile acidity creeping in towards the end but still one of the most powerful, evocative, and expressive white wines I have ever tasted!! — 9 years ago
