Leather, robusta coffee and dark berry notes. Black pepper, chocolate, and boiled eggs(??!!) on the palate. I had a glass of this wine last night and I was fortunate to find the bottle today. I never thought of cab franc from Italy 🇮🇹. Good surprise. — 4 years ago

Smooth, round, delicious. One of my favorites — 8 years ago
Not normally a big fan of the stickier stuff, though this is one of the most incredible sweet wines I've ever had the pleasure of trying. So much vibrancy, big acid. BUT 2/3 bottles we opened were acetic as fuck- completely volatile, so I'll worry each time I go to open one. — 8 years ago
Very acidic with pear notes — 4 years ago

Cf. My review of the 2013, this 2012 has the same copper colour but has a more defined, pineapple and strawberry bouquet. The taste is raspberry, strawberry and pineapple with very little if none of the candied fruit the 2012 had. A nice juicy finish. Overall a very good value and refreshing drink which is superior to the 2013. — 8 years ago

This is a chilled red for fall grilling. Dry, a little smoky. A bit of cherry cola happening, but without the fizz. — 4 years ago
