Nice smell of plums and dark fruit. Definitely a good wine. By itself, the acid and sourness overpowers the fruit, but when paired with pizza, the sourness softens and the fruit emerges ... red cherries, maybe black currant. Really nice. — 7 years ago

Really, really good shit! Not masterful, not perfect....but classic, honest and un-barriqued! — 10 years ago

High tannins and acidity. Earthy. Needed to be decanted hours before drinking. Lovely pairing with dark chocolate strawberries. — 10 years ago

Love the Piedmonts. A little chalky at first but opened up to apricots and floral. But stayed mineral at the finish — 7 years ago

The 2008 Fratelli Serio and Battista Borgogno Nebbiolo d'Alba is a really tasty treat. 100% Nebbiolo, mainly from Diano D'Alba, it has a pretty ruby color and a nice smoky aroma. You'll get a mouthful of spice and raspberries upon tasting it. Definitely fruitier than most of the classic Piedmont varietals, this wine still obviously has years to mature and turn into something really special. — 10 years ago
Luscious now. Better in 5 years. — 11 years ago
