This stuff is great. A little bit of everything. Some grassiness, some fruit, some minerality. Great acid. Delicious. $25 at Solano Cellars. — 6 years ago

Clearance priced at local supermarket, 63/29/8 blend of grapes from Napa, Lake and Solano Counties. Straw and herbal notes in nose. Straw, white peach, blood orange and lime flavors. Rounded body, restrained acidity with lemon-herb and mineral notes on finish. Worthy and on point for the variety. Winery notes “aged on lees” which explains some nuances in the mouth. 96.8/2.7/0.3 blend of Sauvignon Blanc, Semillon and Muscat — 4 years ago

Pre-release party in alameda. All the 2016s.
My rankings:
1) brawler- 94 (2nd biggest wine)
2) black tie - 93 (1st biggest wine)
3) instigator - 93 (3rd biggest wine- more elegant than previous vintages. While it used to be all solano county syrah, it is now blended with a lodi vineyard)
4) truant - 92-93 - solid gsm
5) brat - gs that i need to try again. The oak was coming off a little strong on the small taste i had.
Hear the shake ridge syrah in barrel is midnight black in color and going to be a rockstar. Looking forward to seeing what he does with that vineyard. — 7 years ago
@Jonathan Pytko this the Pinot I mentioned at dinner last night. From solano cellars. Good suggestion. Better prices can be found — 9 years ago

I love trying and exploring wines, but then I open this and wonder why I just don’t drink this forever. So fresh, so pretty, good acidity, tannin, and fruit, all of it balanced. Year after year this is my favorite broc wine. — 4 years ago
