New house fav. Big darn blueberry with chovolate . Dark ink does not overpower this Ribero del Duero with fruit from aged Vines.. — 5 years ago
I may have gotten the vintage wrong but what a beautiful Portuguese surprise-started off like a lighter hybrid beast of Ribero & Rioja. Morphs into its own creature, red fruits & plenty of depth, I taste barrel aging ( it may have been a 2010). All out balance. Impressive, 32$. — 5 years ago
Viña Solorca ribero del duero barrica 2015
Deep garnet color. On the nose intense aromas of black cherry, black plum, spice, burnt toast,
On the palate, medium body, grippy chewy tannins and fruit on the palate. Would be great with a burger or grilled meat. 9.0 good value for money. — 7 years ago
Very spicy and delicious Spanish red from Ribero Del Duero — 8 years ago
1 st class Ribero del Duero , rounded and fruity — 9 years ago
My wife likes it. This review is biased. This wine confirms my belief that the best values in the wine world are still from Ribero del Duoro. Good body, tannins integrate well with the sweetness of the wine. — 10 years ago
Great value! Can’t get enough of this 2017 vintage in Ribera and Rioja when is well made. A fresh, rainy year. Expressive nose of blackcurrant, cherries, a hint of well handled oak, good length. Not too complex (sort of entry level to the winery, which encourages you to the higher level) but once again great value — 4 years ago
Great Malbec from Castilla y Leon 2014 — 5 years ago
What a nice, more modern approach to 100% Tempranillo in Ribero del Duero. Clean, medium intensity red and black berries, forrest floor, floral (violet and rose). Less fruit on the palate, starts fresh then opens to more herby components (dried to tobacco, licorice root), slight cocoa. Medium acidity, round country textured tannins that slide down nicely. 30% American , 70% French oak., A more robust expression of this grape. — 6 years ago
Cherry and French oak on the nose. High acidity and tannins, with more dark fruits and oak on the palate. A terrific wine for the price. Reminds me of a tame Ribero del Duero. — 6 years ago
A very nice example of Ribero del Duero. Lovely and full bodied, dark/dried fruits and well integrated tannins. — 8 years ago
nose was pretty gentle- had red berries, dry soil, lots of savory herbs- almost a spicy garrigue- bit of rust.
flavors showed a little leather, bit of olive juice, blackberry, boysenberry, raspberry, faint cranberry.... but all the berries are subdued by a wonderful herbal, savory, meatiness. ribero del duero meets cote du rhone. yum. — 9 years ago
A small boutique producer- the black/purple wine monster gets mineral push back. Malbec 88%, Merlot 3%, Cabernet Sauvignon 7%, Shiraz 2% . Described in vinoteca as more "European" than the baseline Argentine vino, w oak monster merely growling in the background. Like a Ribero, maybe. — 9 years ago
Berries boxed in cedar - I could sniff this all day.
Alas, I want more - medium bodied, an incredible harmony of bold red berry fruit, Himalayan salt, cedar tannins and interesting orange zest at the very, last whisper of the wines embrace. Glad I let this set for a couple of years. Great producer, wonderful area, the Ribero del Duero..

Exquisite Ribero — 6 years ago
What a treat: has a mean streak, meant in the nicest possible way- a dark, dark core, like Ribena (for Brits) but edgier, & gorgeous layers of red fruits built around that petrolly, black currant core. At first I thought Ribero when drinking blind! Much more nuanced & subtle. — 7 years ago
