Amazing acidity and a faint saltiness in the finish. 100+ year old Cinsault bush vines from the nooks and crannies of Itata. Juan Gil Jiménez first built his winery in 1916 in Jumilla, and passed it down to his future generations. From 100% Monastrell (or Mourvèdre in France) aromas of dark berry fruits and woody spice. On the palate blackberry and plum with earthy wood flavors and notes of cacao and cinnamon spice. Soft tannins, lingering ending with a light toasty character. Great value! Very nice! — 7 years ago
