The wine is clear and bright with a medium ruby colour and presence of legs.

The nose is clean and developing, showing medium(+) intensity aromas of blackberries, dark plums, dark cherries, black pepper, thym and hints of violents and game. The wine is dry in the mouth with a medium acidity.

It has medium(+) fine-grained tannins and a high slightly warm alcohol. It has a medium(+) body and pronounced intensity flavours of blackberries, dark plums, black pepper, thym and hints of violets. The finish is medium(+).

It is a very good quality wine. It shows a very nice complexity provided by floral, spicy and herbal notes, it has a great flavour concentration and a quite decent finish. On the other hand the alcohol is slightly unbalanced, maybe some more acidity would have made the wine a bit fresher.

Can drink now, but it has enough tannic structure and fruit concentration to develop some more complex tertiary aromas in the next 2-3 years.

Mixed feelings...rustic, funky with red fruit, pepper and spice in background.

Violets, more floral but closed- this could use a decant. A perennial fave
