What a terrific white Rioja this is! Bottled by Morrisons and produced by Baron de Ley, though I strongly suspect this is the ‘Tres Viñas’ Reserva that they themselves bottle.
Aromas of nectarine, honey, caramel and vanilla. There is an element of petrichor / wet gravel on the palate that adds a refreshing quality. Medium acidity. Very full bodied, but not rich - has a strong minerality. Incredibly well balanced and long. — 4 years ago

Interesting wine. Kept changing and evolving in a good way. Started things off with a bit of menthol followed by blueberries, blackberries, currant and violets. Prieto Picudo’s the grape from Leon, Spain. Seek it and know it., if you can find it. You’ll be rewarded plenty by the masterful hand of Raul Perez. — 5 years ago
€23 on the restaurant wine list. Served too warm…needed some time in the ice bucket. Tasted great with our Greek dishes. — 2 years ago

Quite enjoyable. My wine store does free tastings and I didn't really like it. It got included anyway, so I was pleasantly surprised. — 7 months ago
