Dark purple body, opaque, thin rim. Nose is a little hot, but also has loads of fruit, Cherry and maybe citrus? Can't tell if there is mint or if that's the alcohol. Oak and leather become stronger sensations over time. Palate has good acidity, understated tannins. But then tannins start to dominate the finish. This wine develops over time and each sip is a little different from the previous one. I'm hooked! — 7 years ago
Very very potent wine. Deep red, nice fruit, and lingering spicy tannins. — 7 years ago
Capa y densidad media alta , en nariz fruta roja, aceite de oliva y tostado suave. En boca entrada golosa, personalidad fruta, fruta ... Buen final. — 8 years ago
Great color, full bodied, and unapologetic. Smoke, anise and bark on the nose. Fruit forward, but in a mature and controlled way. Great smoke, spice and brick dust gives it character. Sandy tannins and a great finish. Definitely food wine. — 9 years ago
Fantastic depth and body. — 9 years ago
$5.69 at Costco and awesome! Dry and woody but still smooth in the finish. Deep flavor. I liked! — 11 years ago
The Syrah definitely shows up. Adds some weight and a little olive tapenade. seemed to have a little new oak. — 3 years ago
Very solid. Pairs with lamb / fatty dishes. Fruity and spicy. — 4 years ago
Great for the price. Peppery but lighter for a spicy wine. BY — 6 years ago
So don't agree on 93 pts from Parker. Large wine. Some heat. But like the fruit. So good showing from a QPR standpoint. Thanks #garagiste — 7 years ago

Good 2008 Spanish wine. 75% Monastrell 25% Syrah. $18 pricepoint. Strong cherry smell, strong fruit forward taste, cherry. Decent finish. As always a great value out of Spain! — 9 years ago
フルボディだけどタンニンは薄め。深みのあるベリーの香り。 — 10 years ago
A great modern blend, deep colour, rich palate, still strong tannins, wonderful finish. — 4 years ago
Fruit forward--cherries and red plum, faint spicines or note of cacao. Silky palate, long finish.
Bloody marvelous for $11 a bottle here in Washington, D.C. — 6 years ago
Smoked eucalyptus and gamey.
Blackberry, dark plum, tha basil, eucalyptus. mint, anise, layer upon layers of gorgeous fruit, with herbs dancing with great pagan mystery, underneath those waves.
This is one of those wines that hits every bit of what you want a more expensive bottle to be.
Priced to buy by the case as a every nighter.
