Taste like the liquid version of Burger King's French toast sticks with maple syrup. Sooo disappointed with this but it was expected. 93 points by the books manufactured Red Blend from Yecla rated by Parker's wheel house. Pure text book rating scale. You wanna make a Spanish red blend and have it scored 90+ points? Follow these "simple" instructions. No secret here, this was manufactured for mass retail sales by and for Costco. The consumer deserves a better representation of what Yecla and other wine producing regions can offer instead of something genetically produced and highly rated for sales and sales only....sales that don't require a sales force that know anything about wine for that matter. I get it. Someone needs a paycheck and I would never begrudge an individual or company for doing so. This is just such a text book Costco to manufactured highly rated Spanish red from Yecla.

Dark purple core and purple rim. Wild nose of ripe blackberries, black cherry, rose petals, and baking spices. The palate is an explosion of sweet fruits complimented by light acid and tannins. This simple but pleasing easy going red meant to be enjoyed over the next 5 years.

Typical blend, a bit high on the alcohol. Don’t see the low scores here or the 93 from Parker either. Right down the middle for me. For the price this is a very nice wine.

Nose has a bit of cigar tobacco. Rich fruit but still very dry. High spike of spice midpoint which I’m not fond of. Very tart aftertaste that lingers
