As good as his Pinot and Gamy is, the Chardonnay's coming off of Doug's vineyard in Ribbon Ridge are even better. — 9 years ago

Okanagan Valley Pinot Noir 2011

2011 vintage. Strawberry and stewed rhubarb on the nose, nicely balanced taste with pleasant minerality on the finish. Better then the 2009 or 2010 vintages which had a bit too much acidity, and drinking well right now. — 11 years ago

Cuvée du Tonnelier Ribbon Ridge Pinot Noir 2011

Really delicious Pinot. Burgundian style. Elegant. Cassis and muted earth. Amazing for the original price. This 2011 is long gone. Paid under $40 several years ago. Wish I had another. Hear my Dad saying in my head "Always buy two..." 😀 🍷 — 8 years ago

Pauillac Red Bordeaux Blend 2015

Too young, but hey, that’s why I bought a few. So I could try over time. On opening, it’s quite saline with high acid. It’s refined with blue and red fruit. After a few hours, it starts to integrate more. Can’t wait to taste it on day 2. — 8 years ago

2010 is one of the heartiest as well as one of the best Bordeaux vintages on record. They compare 10 vintage with the great 1982 vintage. We’ll see! Many of the best producers from 82 are just now peaking. You might see three Bordeaux vintages like this in a lifetime. Perhaps, less with climate change. You can open a bottle anytime but, from a vintage and producer like PC, I wouldn’t even think to pull a cork on my 10’s for a minimum of 20 years. This wine will drink well for 50-60 years and perhaps longer, properly stored. The 15 vintage isn’t all that far off from 10. 10 is clearly the better vintage but, 15 is excellent.

I bought the 10s to age. In good measure because it’s also my anniversary year. So they are probably safe for awhile.

Like Baby Blue the blueberry aromas jump right out of the glass. First glass, honestly didn't seem any better than the Baby Blue. One hour later with filet mignon the wine had opened up considerably and WOW! This is one to pair with a juicy steak🍷. — 9 years ago
