Fantastic p/q. Strawberry and sweet cherry character. Sweet entry with depth and complexity. Just enough acid to provide interest and grip. Super drinkable.. — 6 years ago
Enjoyed a bottle with my brother and sister in law on a Capetown trip to Bo-Kaap. Great back story regarding the winemaker and the secret varietals used in this blend. Medium bodied red with aromas of dark cherry, cedar and smoke. Initial soft dry tannins opened up beautifully into softer, more mellow tannins after about 20 mins in the glass. Good luck guessing the varietals! — 7 years ago
2012 red blend of Merlot, Cab and Cab Franc. Delicious & mature for only 6 years old. I love how they use an “open canvas” to create something spectacular. — 8 years ago
Very nice surprisingly fragrant fruity and smooth — 9 years ago
A favorite from last summer, could never find it in Nashville. Still delicious and cheap. — 10 years ago
Sneak peaking on Wittmanns 2019 for the Morstein launching on thursday. There is no doubt that the German Rieslings remains one of the under priced gems of the wine world.
The Westhofener presents a pronounced intense nose, youthful but complex and nuanced aromas, well defined characters that is playing in several clusters. Lemon zest, white pears and plum juice followed by ginger and a prominent wet stone minerality over a savoury and salty canvas. A cut through acidity drives the palate through an intense fruit profile and a solid finish.
Paired with pan fried Salomon filet, creamed cabbage and a soy and brown butter vinaigrette with plenty of lemon juice. — 5 years ago
A nose of stewed plum, hazelnut skin (Always for me in ages wines), and some slight tabac.
A hefty wine, thin in the middle, yet flavor fully wrapped around that one blank spot. Black cherry, herbs du Provence, slab apricot acidity, and smoked wood chips.
An excellent wine.

Buttery light for a Chardonnay but perfect for a happy hour in the summer!!! — 9 years ago
Elegant as always, Csaba wines are incredible, wonderful fruit forward Pinot Noir, hints of cheery and raspberry, mushroom , forest floor, smokey on the nose, palate on the attack blank cheery, raspberry, and spice leading to moderate tannins, with a long supple finish. — 10 years ago

Always the same great buttery taste — 6 years ago
A souvenir brought back from Vinos de Madrid from the reclaimed producer Bodegas Bernabeleva. The single vineyard Arroyo de Tórtolas is a remarkable wine, near rosé like in its color it’s carved with a velvet touch, it walks with grace, yet with such an impact on the palate. Enchanting red fresh fruit profile with plenty of savoury complexity hiding underneath and a aromatic lift that’s complete canvas. — 6 years ago
Very good Pinot. Exactly what I would want from a Pinot noir. Would definitely buy again. — 7 years ago
Oh heck. Dang you garagiste. I've realized it is generally better to order 2 at a time but...this lovely Baden rosé(?!$) is crazy...kerosene plus roses and cherries and maybe mandarins and/or flippin' blackberries o my when I have a good blank slate for it I shall give another write-up. I've at least got one more! bottle — 9 years ago

Pop n pour., Quick note: Perfumed, vivid nuanced red fruit, camphor and mint over a savoury earthy canvas
Fresh acidity and pronounced, yet approachable tannins with a powdery texture that surrounds a concentrated fruit intensity with a long and expansive finish. A little marvel, a bargain. So approachable today yet will age forever. — 5 years ago
