Light tannin, med finish. Black cherry and sage. — 8 years ago
Not the best vintage I've had of this but still solid. Black currant, blackberry, cedar, maybe a little more menthol than I'd like but I wouldn't call it distracting. Medium to full bodied, medium acidity. Good intensity. I'll pop the next one in a few more years. — 10 years ago
Excellent Pinot Noir from Russian River. Served with black and blue pork chops with sides. Snowing outside. Cold outside. Smokey, musty, fragrant, jammy.

With all the bad pub about the 2011 California vintage I wanted to try the Merry Edwards that I got on sale. My store of choice originally had it priced at $79.99 and I bought it for $29.99, WHAT! That's right $29.99, lucky me and what a good discovery. On the nose I get black cherry, black raspberry some clove and caramel nuances. On my first taste my eyes lit up and a big smile came to my lips. There is sweet dark fruit of black cherry, raspberry, blueberry, and cranberry. There is a smooth silky mouth feel with medium tanning and lip smacking acidity. The well balanced melding of all aspects in this wine makes for an enjoyable evening. — 11 years ago

This Kosta Browne was a solid Pinot. Very fruit driven for a Russian River. This was a 1/2 bottle, decanted a 1.25 hours. It had a wonder nose of black fruit, had a very faint scent of a dark salted Carmel, with a little 5-spice. The palate was more red fruit, with a hint of hint of anise/roasted fennel, it lingered with a shot finish. — 10 years ago
Black olive, delicious — 11 years ago
I love this wine. Black fruit. Big. Deep dark and deeeelish! — 11 years ago
Quite powerfully perfumed black & purple fruit. Big and chewy in the mouth. Cellar — 12 years ago
Deep ruby, blackberry, vanilla oak, dry ripe tannins, cocoa black fruits, clovey spice, deep and meaningful, all in balance with its 15% alcohol. — 12 years ago
Beautiful wine but not what you'd expect from Martinborough Pinot. More Syrah like on the nose, with black fruits and kirsch. Almost liquorice undertones. Palate is very sensual and soft, velvet like and beautifully balanced. Seriously good wine but not really Pinoty. — 9 years ago
One of the best Zins I have ever had. This vintage destroys competition. Blackberry, chocolate covered raisins, black raspberry, black cherry cola and candy, huge ripe plum finish, menthol, baking spices. Blockbuster nose. Perfect time to drink now. Huge X Factor. 16.8% alcohol still a bit zippy but settling and integrating well. — 10 years ago
The minerality, citrus and bright acidity in this wine pair so perfectly with summer. If you have some in your cellar, you won't regret popping the cork right now. Delicious, and so refreshing. #blackcordonwine — 11 years ago

This wine screams “cherries!” ....red and black cherry with notes of cola and hints of allspice. Opens beautifully and still has tannic backbone. Structure and good mouth feel. A beautiful Pinot. — 8 years ago
