From the Bairrada region of Portugal, this rosé sparkler is dry and crisp. Made with red baga and white bical grapes indigenous to the region. No dosage at all (so I have read) makes for a fresh and light wine from beginning to end. Notes of raspberry and straw. 3B would be a festive addition to any sophisticated soirée. — 7 years ago

Lovely Portuguese sparkler from the Bairrada AOC north of Coimbra, cepage is 5% Cercial, 30% Bical, 30% Maria-Gomes, and 35% Arinto. Loads of bubbles, not quite as fine or delicate as a fine Champagne, but really lovely for a midweek sub-$16 sparkler!! — 3 years ago

Muted nose with some white flowers, light honey, fresh & quite cool.
On the palate with some weight (Encruzado influence?), a touch creamy, with some underripe white peach, white tea, a hint of bitter almond with a salty tang towards the mineral finish.
Not overly complex or too sophisticated,
