Really pretty. Violets, cherry, mushroom, cola and nice acid. Great balance. Went great with some Alaskan(Doug)salmon. Yum! — 8 years ago

Bell's Brewery

Two Hearted Ale American IPA

Big hype about this beer, as is "Hop Slam" this one much easy to get, in fact, in CA you can get in many places all the time, price is reasonable too, just check the bottled or canned on dates since it travels far, solid IPA, really nothing new or different, just done very well in the style, if you like your IPA's balanced between malt and hops, like Dogfish then this is perfect fit you, not for me, I prefer the hops be the "Show" but I am not knocking the Beer for that, just I think it is a little over rated — 9 years ago

Expedition Stout

This expedition stout is what you want to drink after a long and cold journey on a 5 day trip on the snowmobile or after 12 minutes in the frigid water in the ice hole. Aka perfect for a long weekend on the UP. Full on dark coffee sludge up front. Followed by tar and old motor oil. With a hint of sun drenched asphalt. Ending with a lightly burnt barely. Wow this stout takes you places. — 10 years ago

So many of the Bell's beers are outstanding and this English style brown ale is no exception. Easy drinking, malty goodness. Plus, it has a bird on it! — 10 years ago

Clos Electrique Chardonnay 2013

John Paul Cameron's vibrant dry-farmed #chardonnay, rich, floral-mineral acid goodness, cuts through the buttery, lemon Alaskan king crab explosion, and dances artfully with the earthy new potatoes and citrus washed asparagus. #xmasdinner — 10 years ago

When you get the call saying the fresh Alaskan king crab has arrived by air you can't let jet lag stop you! This 2010 was very rich and showed more oak than the 2012 Follatieres that I drank in Burgundy last week, but was excellent with the crab. The food snapped this big boy into focus and brought out some lime like zip. — 10 years ago
