Excellent chenin from Cali that is very true to the grape, citrus fruits and zest, florals, chipped rock minerality, and the telltale lanolin that classic chenin will usually have. Great acidity, med/med+, nose and med+ palate and finish. Top domestic chenin! — 3 years ago
Grapey and somewhat lacking in complexity/tannins. Tried it against a 2018 b cellars merlot and it didn’t match up well. — 4 years ago

Dark fruit, a touch oaky still but still a medium bodied wine, fruit forward with tannins that have a nice texture and some richness to the palate. Very nice QPR.
Fruits noirs, mures, boisé pas tout à fait digéré mais une bouche de corps moyen assez avenante avec un beau fruité assez riche, bouche savoureuse avec des tannins qui ont une belle texture. Très bien pour le prix. 89-90

Beau Vigne Heirloom Cabernet Sauvignon – Napa Valley. Multi-vintage blend: 2019 / 2021 / 2022
A beautifully composed Cabernet that blends elegance with character. On the nose, it’s aromatic, perfumed, and charming, offering inviting black fruit, hints of toasted oak, and subtle floral tones. The palate is balanced and expressive, with a rounded tannin structure, bright acidity, and just the right touch of fruit-forward richness without being overpowering.
The long, smooth finish ties it all together, showcasing Beau Vigne’s signature style—refined, polished, and deeply satisfying. — 9 months ago
My father has a case of these 1983 BV in his father’s wine collection. Have sat undisturbed for a few decades since my grandfather passed. Opened this for Easter dinner if braised lamb shanks. Had some cork breakage but decanted and let it breathe… it was quite delicious! Looking forward to drinking the rest of his collection! — 4 years ago

Loving this rich, decadent example. Lots of cellaring runway ahead.
Renovation update - 2nd flight of stairs in, and lighting is complete. Officially, we are bankrupt 😔 — 6 years ago

Taking its name from the sea and sun – the two forces of nature that shape its character. Pale lemon, aromas of Stone and tropical fruits, with floral and sweet spice notes. On the palate flavors of apple, peach & apricot with lemon zest and toasty vanilla notes. Smooth long finish, well balanced, nice acidity, ending with fruit, vanilla oak and mineral character. Sip’s well now. Pair this with some fresh tuna! — 9 months ago
Excellent Merlot with dark Cherry boysenberry vanilla and oak notes. Great pairing with a ribeye off the grill. Decanted for one hour. — 4 years ago
Nose - pineapple, lemon zest, vanilla. Taste - citrus fruit and great vanilla flavor, little bit of caramel. Full bodied, with a good balance. Really good! — 5 years ago

Luscious and unctuous but not over the top syrupy. Perfumed and balanced; a delight with food like nuts, cheese and flatbread but also great on its own. Enjoyed the 2018 vintage in Vegas with William and Shari, celebrating our February birthdays. Happy Birthday to us! — 9 months ago
