Smelled of deep, rich herbal earth. Like a warm summer afternoon hiking in the foothills of Appalachia. The taste was so starkly different to be unrecognizable. Butter, like a steak basted in butter. Fruit was an afterthought, but the entire thing was still big and bold and tricks your senses. Like dating a red headed girl. — 6 years ago

Delicious. Slightly sweeter than their regular cider, but not by much. A hint of honey, but it's not overblown at all. Well done. — 9 years ago

From the Austin Hope Family, a new wine that express the potential of Paso Robles.A blend of 57% Cab Sauv, 23% Merlot, 15% Petit Verdot, 5% Petite Sirah, aged for 21 months on American oak (65%new) aromas of berry fruit, vanilla spice and floral notes. On the palate dark berry flavors with big vanilla spice. Fine tannins, medium finish ending with vanilla and toasty character. Nice value offering. — 5 years ago

Slight salinity with a nose of honey suckle. Features gentle minerality and low acidity with flavors accentuated by raw seafood. Enjoy with oysters, salmon roe, salty cheeses, stone fruit. Purchased in restaurant for $39. Great buy. Shout out: "Foreign and Domestic" in Austin, Tx. — 10 years ago

Very much so oxidative style, acetaldehyde and amarone like aromas. Floral. Light body with some astringency and balanced acid- very easy drinking. Showing some age.
Caramel/amaretto retronasal, with red fruit and golden dates. More floral.
Right up my alley, I could drink this all night. — 7 years ago
