This is Mt Braves' Veeder Cab Franc. I believe this is a Chris Carpenter wine? Would love to drink this alongside La Jota's Howell Mountain Cab Franc (same winemaker). However, I have a feeling this would outlive the Howell. Incredibly tannic. Black and red in the glass. Blackberries, tar, charcoal and sweet nutmeg on the nose. Powerful texture. Lingering finish. Needed day 2 and even in to day 3 to reveal more plums, violet and spice. — 8 years ago

Tasted this beauty at Bacchanalia in Atlanta, GA for Uncle Ernie's 80th birthday celebration. Complex Pinot with a nice balance of fruit and earth, plus an appealing whiff of French barnyard. This is a fine choice to sniff, drink and savor. Tasted the 2013 vintage. — 9 years ago

Had his as a Guwerztraminer tasting event at Beetle Cat in Atlanta, hosted by the Southeast Sommelier Society. Gorgeous floral nose of peach blossoms, white rose petals and lychee. On the palette, this wine was impeccably balanced with lemon tart acidity cutting though the evident residual sugar. Succulent notes of fresh apricot, lychee and lemon tart to a long and refined finish. — 7 years ago
