@Delectable Wine this is Arianna by Spoto Wines... the wine entry needs to be modified. Dang. I've had a couple of torrontes, but this one blows them all out of the water. Nose of citrus and herbs. This wine begins with a very heavy, weighted mouthfeel. Dominant notes of lemon oil, lime creme brulee, herbal character and seems to get a little bit of limestone grit on the finish. Classic torrontes for the most part but on steroids (Silvaspoons Lodi) and with more of a weighted body and finish that resembles more of a chenin blanc. You wanna drink these now? Go ahead. Wanna keep them for five years? No sweat. Unfiltered. Originally ordered 3, then ordered a case, and now only have 7 total. Sigh... QPR this one is a 9.8! — 5 years ago
$26ish price point. Very easy drinking. Easy complexity, minimal fruit, mostly earth, spice, mineral notes without being an overpowering wine. — 6 years ago
More fruit than occhipinti but still good — 7 years ago

It was pretty good. With Arianna at my place on Christmas. — 4 years ago
From the #mysterycase. First sip is dry and musty lol. Further sips reveal oranges and anise, like a pizzelle. Not bad 😄 — 5 years ago
Beautiful and intense. Dried herbs, tomato vine, tart cherries, fresh raspberries, olive compote. From a small producer and terroir that invokes natural production and vinification. — 6 years ago
Seafood/salmon friendly. A bit more sweet that I’d like but still very good. A compromise to the Occhipinti that we can’t find anywhere. — 3 years ago
Not as good as the Occhipinti, but great value — 4 years ago

The 2022 Sottobanco, a varietal Procanico, displays dried flower, crushed rocks, underbrush and apricot aromas. Textural and weighty, it’s lifted by zesty acidity and mineral tones. An ambrosia-like wave of nectarine and ripe melon follows. The 2022 finishes spicy and with candied ginger hints. $24.00 (Eric Guido, Vinous, July 2023) — 2 years ago
